There is nothing mysterious about our window cleaning process but it is quite different from what other window washing companies offer. Instead of relying on tap water and harsh detergents our method is based on using purified water and soft bristle brushes. In most cases we don’t need to employ any detergent, but if we do it is eco-friendly and used sparingly.
We developed our purified water method of window washing because we wanted to offer our customers something better than the streaks and smears often left behind by the traditional window cleaning method. Purified water acts like a magnet drawing mineral and chemical pollutants to it and then washing them away.
That’s the key to our process because it is these chemicals and minerals, along with those found in tap water, that stay behind after the window dries and produce smears and streaks. By using a soft bristle brush instead of the ubiquitous squeegee we are also able to gently remove dirt and debris without dragging it across the window pane causing hairline scratches.
Why Don’t All Companies Use Purified Water?
We’re often asked by satisfied customers why the other window cleaners in Kemsing don’t use the purified water method. And while we can’t speak for them we suspect it boils down to a few factors:
- Securing an adequate source of purified water is more work than simply turning on the tap.
- When they use the client’s tap water it’s the client who pays, not the window washer.
- Purified water costs money and companies are fixated on containing costs.
- Finally, as long as they are getting customers they have little incentive to change what they’re doing.
So why do we do it? For one reason only: we think our customers are worth the extra effort it requires on our part. And for those who think our method must be prohibitively expensive… it’s not. We spend almost nothing on detergents, which are a major expense for other companies. Those savings go a long way toward offsetting the cost of the purified water.
