When we decided to start Pure Window Cleaning the first thing we did was to study the techniques used by most window cleaners in Ewell and try to figure out why their results were so often less than spectacular.
What we learned was that these companies were prioritising speed over effectiveness. By that we mean they were relying heavily on harsh detergents – that would quickly cut through built-up dirt and grime – mixed with readily available tap water.
The result was that they were able to move from window to window quickly but they were leaving behind trace minerals from the tap water and chemicals from the detergents. More often than not it was the residue of these minerals and chemicals that was causing the streaks and smears they were leaving behind.
We decided there had to be a better way. And the result of our efforts was our innovative and eco-friendly process that employs purified water and a soft bristle brush. When combined with proper training that is all that’s needed to achieve our brilliant, streak-free windows every time.
Because it adds a bit of time to the process. Tap water is literally available everywhere. Purified water, not so much. There are only so many processing plants in the UK that produce it and so many places where it can be purchased.
We go through the trouble of using it because we believe that providing our customers with the best possible window cleaning service is the right thing to do. We could save time and trouble by simply using tap water, but that would be prioritising our needs over the needs of the customer, and we won’t do that.
The runoff from using harsh detergents on windows has to go somewhere. Where it goes is into the ground, poisoning the soil around the house or business whose windows are being cleaned, killing grass, flowers and shrubs. With the Pure Window Cleaning system, the only runoff is purified water.
