When we decided to open a window cleaning business we wanted to be able to offer our customers something better than what they would get from other companies. In our quest to find a better way we identified one problem that seemed to plague most window cleaning companies: streaks and smears that appeared after the windows were “cleaned”.
What we discovered was that those streaks and smears were not necessarily the result of bad cleaning techniques, but were instead trace chemicals left behind by the use of tap water and window cleaning detergents. If we were going to offer something better we’d need to figure out a different way to clean windows.
After a lot of trial and error, we settled on an eco-friendly process involving purified water and a soft bristle brush. We put our crew through rigorous training to ensure they perfected this technique and then opened for business. In the intervening years, we’ve cleaned more than half a million windows using and earned scores of loyal customers.

Why Doesn’t Everyone Adopt the Pure Method?
The reasons are actually pretty simple:
- A reluctance to change: If customers are not insisting they adopt our process then there is little incentive for existing companies to change.
- Free water: Most window cleaners fill their buckets with water from the customer’s tap, which is cheaper (for them) than buying purified water.
- Lack of awareness: A lot of window washers simply are not aware there is a different, better way to clean windows.
For those who suspect our process may be more expensive because we have to buy purified water, that’s not the case. Money we spend on purified water is offset by not having to buy large amounts of detergent.
Ask Us About Our Other Home Maintenance Services
At Pure Window Cleaning we also offer other important home maintenance services, including:
- Gutter cleaning: Clogged gutters spill water onto the ground around your home potentially undermining your foundation. Regular gutter cleaning ensures runoff from your roof is properly directed away from the house.
- Fascia, soffit and cladding cleaning: Keep these elements of your home’s exterior clean and you’ll ensure greater curb appeal for your house. That’s important since kerb appeal can affect the value of your home by up to 10%
- Conservatory cleaning: Cleaning conservatory windows is great, but it’s really only half the battle. We’ll make sure your entire conservatory shines.
